KIRA DIXON-WEINSTEIN is a Partner in the The Gadsden Company, Executive Director of Mercado San Agustín and Chair of the Mercado San Agustín Philanthropic Fund. Prior to her involvement with Gadsden, Dixon-Weinstein worked in the film business in New York City for ten years. As an independent film producer she budgeted, developed and coordinated multi-million dollar programs and advertising campaigns, directed diverse personnel, union and nonunion crews in New York City, Los Angeles and Toronto, Ontario.

During the last two years Kira has traveled to the great mercados of the United States, Europe, and Mexico to become Gadsden's resident expert on public markets, and perfect the Gadsden team's business strategy for the successful, sustainable development of Tucson's first great public market. Mercado San Agustín is slated to open in the 3rd quarter of 2008, and will provide an opportunity for many small businesses in the Tucson region to realize their dreams. The Mercado San Agustín Philanthropic Fund in partnership with the United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona and Microbusiness Advancement Center will help potential small business owners gain the skills and resources they need to develop their individual business objectives.

Mrs. Dixon-Weinstein holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Bard College.
